The Cary Road Race was last weekend and it was a pretty good race. I ran the 10K with Grae and Ron. Charlie ran the 5K and it appears that both races were marked short. I think a lot of people think the got a new PR from this race and I’m not sure if they will find out how short it was.
I think the racers turned around at Kendleton Pl and according to the race map, we should have gone past that street a ways.
The results are up and I got a 52:36.
Signed up for the Cary Road Race on April 14th. I’m going to run in the 10K, but a 5K and 1 mile fun run are also options for this race.
Yesterday I had a great practice run and I’d like to thank the weather for it. The temperature and humidity were perfect. I went 9 miles and didn’t feel any fatigue. Also I managed to get lost in the neighborhoods. What was supposed to be a 6 mile training run turned out to be a 9 miler. For some reason when your lost you think more of where you are and where you need to go than about running. So, I hope this cool, dry weather will stick around for a few more days and I’ll keep plugging along on the runs.
